Happy FGF all!
Knee update: I started PT two days ago and it did not go well.
My surgeon and PT are at odds with one other. On one side we have my surgeon who is SUPER conservative —25% weight bearing and only 30 degree bend in the knee allowed at this point. (Not to mention no drinking or hot tubs allowed…wtf.) My PT, on the other hand, had no idea I even had meniscus repair surgery and was expecting something completely different when I walked up to him on crutches and a brace. He thought I could weight bear and bend my knee more than 30 degrees, so I pretty much paid a high copay to do basically everything I’ve already been doing at home while PT low key said surgeons have a god complex. Ah the American healthcare system. Can’t wait to repeat this nonsense again next week!
On to a more positive note. This past Sunday some lovely friends of mine hosted a PowerPoint Recovery Night for me and I loved it so much I think this is going to have to become a quarterly thing.
For those who don’t know what a PowerPoint night is, it’s exactly what it sounds like, but the PowerPoints being presented are actually hilarious and exciting topics instead of boring AF.
Here are the following topics that were PowerPoint-ed on:
- Everyone who did this as a dog breed (I wonder who did that one…)
-Are these threesome movies non-monogamy movies?
-My four step foolproof plan to being the first normal bachelor
-Taylor Swift’s albums ranked (including props and having never listened to the albums)
-Jobs I’ve seen men have on Raya
- When did your private parts become private?
- Parking lot cats and their function
- My life as a punk ass kid
It lifted my spirits as intended and I think you all should do one too. (Or come to my next one!)
Oh, also, last Friday The Pretty Flowers released their new album Never Felt Better and had their release show. You all need to listen to it. It’s awesome.
Off to a much needed little vaca this weekend in San Diego where we’ll show Ozzy what’s up. Have a great weekend all!

Good Deeds Day takes place annually on a chosen Sunday in April — this year, it falls on April 12. This initiative seeks to promote people giving back to their community however they can. You can volunteer, donate to a charity, or help people in your area whichever way you see fit. The beauty of Good Deeds Day is that there’s no set way to celebrate it. The goal is to help others and do good for your community, fostering a sense of kindness and compassion around us. Acts of charity are never forgotten by their recipients. Spread the love on this holiday.
